BioHi! Here's where I talk about me. Hm, let's see...first of all, I have user accounts in many places online, and I always go by some variant on Sylvia Viridian. I used to do it so I didn't have to remember usernames; now my memory is better, but everyone I know is used to me being Sylvia, so I don't bother changing it. So if you see a sylviaviridian anywhere else, stop by and say hi!
Um...right. So. I'm a student at Tacoma Community College, nmccoy's girlfriend, a female geek, a fanfiction authoress, and formerly a lighting techie in my school theater. What else...I used to do Search and Rescue work, and when I have spare time I even work in my garden. I plan to be a linguist when I graduate college; I do not plan to grow up. People think I'm innocent and sweet, and they're partly right...but I'm also a hardcore yaoi fangirl.
I'm also something of a gamer; nowhere near hardcore, but I know a lot more about it than non-gamers. I've had a slight obsession with ancient Egypt ever since I took a field trip to a museum in first grade and learned that they worshipped cats, and even had a cat goddess. I proudly term myself a tree-hugger - but a progressive tree-hugger, which means I don't think we should go back to the Stone Age; we just have to maintain what we have. *I* sure ain't giving up my computer! I love to read, and I adore both fantasy and sci-fi. My dad showed me all three Star Wars movies in one night when I was like, two, and from then until about age ten (when I discovered Catwoman), Princess Leia was my idol. I read through the Lord of the Rings in fourth or fifth grade, years before the movies were even conceived of.
What else do people put in these things? Music! Yeah, that's right! Okay...I like a mix of classic, punk, and alternative rock; examples of artists I like include Queen, The Beatles, U2, Avril Lavigne, and Barenaked Ladies. I also like some J-Pop, and anime songs (not talking Pokemon here, I mean ones like Saiyuki and Weiss Kreuz). And for a final touch, I love movie soundtracks and musicals; my favorites include anything by John Williams, Les Miserables, and Mulan.
My favorites are mostly listed in with my interests. Bye now!
Oh, yes, and one last thing: People need to remember that darkness does not always mean evil. Case in point: Batman, my favorite superhero. (Batman Begins was the first movie that ever truly did justice to that wonderful character. All hail!)
